It's the most wonderful time of the year!

I absolutely LOVE Christmas time! Everyone is happy and excitement and joy is in the air. We have lots of fun traditions that we do every year. Here are some of them.

Making Gingerbread houses. (That's frosting on my thumbs.)

Presents for Jesus. Whenever we do something nice, we can put a gem in the box.

We read a Christmas story each night.

Our stockings "hung by the chimney with care."

It really is the most wonderful time of the year!

Thankfulness

Yes... thankfulness. This Thanksgiving I was thankful for so many things. We had a feast at my Grandparents' house, with tons of family and a bouncy house. Then we went to my other Grandparents' house, where we ate, played with cousins, and went to Merry Mainstreet. Fun, Fun! Well... we have no pictures of that day downloaded, but trust me, it was a great time!

We now have our Christmas tree up, and are in the holiday mood! Yay!:)

Supposedly cool weather and a beautiful sunrise

I've heard lately that it's supposed to be Autumn. That doesn't seem like it is happening to me. I know, it's getting cooler, but I'm hoping for cold nose, boot-wearing weather. I suppose that's what happens when you live in Arizona. I just can't wait for their to be frost on the grass in the morning, and I can see my breath as I stand outside at school. That's the kind that I like.

Elijah!!!

Ok I know I am weeks late on this, but on September 22nd, Elijah Jeffrey Davis was born!!! He weighed 10 pounds, 3 ounces (huge, right!?) and was 20 1/2 inches tall. He is just about the cutest thing ever! We love you Eli!!!

The Mud Bowl

One of the many things on our summer to-do list was to have a "mud bowl" in our backyard. Sooo... my Dad flooded the dirt lot and we all had a blast playing in the mud!

I think we should make it an annual thing.

Last Wednesday oficially marked the start of 7th grade. I go to South Valley Junior High School. My current elective is choir, and everything is going great there! This is how I looked before I walked out the door:

I'm way late on this, but one of our chickens hatched a chick that we named Squirt!

I recently came back from a 5 day trip to the Hyatt Hotel in Mesa for... Time 2 Blossom! I went with some friends. Everything was amazing! The dance party, comedy night, fashion show, and speakers were all great!

Some recent summer trips

Summer has been super busy and it's hard to keep up! We just got back from a Davis family camping trip at Fool's Hollow Lake. It was super hot but the lake kept us cool and we had so much fun hanging out!

GiRlS cAmP

This past week was my first year of girls camp! And it was amazing! I had such a great time feeling the spirit, bonding with friends, and being crazy! Our leaders (My Mom included...) were awesome and gave out the cutest little handouts. And our YCLs were so much fun! They had a rockwall there this year and I made about 3/4 of the way up. The theme was We Seek After These Things. So it was kind of a treasure hunt type thing. Our Ward's theme was We seek after the kingdom of god. So we had this princess thing goin on. But, ya. Overall, Girls camp was a fantastic experience!

Family Reunion

My weekend was spent at an Alston family reunion. We spent the night in a hotel. On Saturday, we swam at the hotel pool, then went to a stream to play in and have a picnic we the Alstons, then we came back and swam some more at the pool, and ended it with dinner with the Alstons at a park. I got sunburnt. ow. But it isn't as bad today! AND... Girl's camp is on Tuesday! It's my first year, and I cannot wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Summer!!!

School is out!!! Welcome, Summer!!! I am so done with the homework, waking up early, and teachers! I will miss all of my amazing friends from this year who I won't see next year as I'm going to a different school. Love you guys!!! But oh I cannot wait for the rest of this break!

Happy Mother's Day!

I am SOOO thankful to have a wonderful Mom who cares for me and loves me so much. My Mom listens to me and takes time to help me. She spends so much time on me and my siblings. I don't know what I would do without her! Luv you Mom! Happy Mother's day!

This little 2 year old is SUCH a cutie!!!

Simon is a talker!!!! He'll just go on and on with his stories that we can't understand half of the time. He is always dying to be part of our dinner conversations, and whenever we are all laughing, he'll join right in. And I love his little squeal! I also love how occasionally, he'll just come running up to you and give you a huge hug!
